Visiting Yachts to Shetland

Lerwick is a popular destination for yachts during the summer months, with visitors arriving from all over Europe, America and beyond. Around 460 yachts visited Lerwick in 2006, which made for a very colourful and lively waterfront. Many of the crews took the opportunity to explore Shetland's 900 miles of coastline. In addition long-established events, such as  the Shetland-Bergen race, Dutch Triangle race and Round Britain and Ireland race, bring old friends and new faces.
